    How do you recruit and retain mentors with the skills and personalities to help mentees thrive? This workshop will address off-site supervision of mentoring matches, building and maintaining boundaries in mentoring relationships, and how volunteer managers and coordinators can develop effective programs from the start. The workshop is tailored to equip leaders of volunteers with the information, skills and resources they need to continue making a difference through the long-term engagement of volunteers.

    During her time at Volunteer Toronto, Kasandra has provided volunteer management support and advice to over 650 non-profit organizations across the city. She is an expert in youth volunteerism, and has led Volunteer Toronto’s Youth Auditor Program to help organizations engage high school volunteers in more meaningful ways.

    As part of Volunteer Toronto's new specialized training project, Kasandra has conducted an in-depth assessment of the unique volunteer management needs and challenges of five non-profit sub-sectors, consulting with relevant provincial associations and communities to help inform best practices. She is using that knowledge to deliver workshops across Ontario that give volunteer managers the specialized training and resources they need to help their programs thrive.
